BECOME A MEMBER?
Good
Business...Minority
business programs are “just plain good business.” These
programs broaden the base of supply for goods and services,
increase competition and ultimately reduce the cost.
Economically
Sound...The
development of a healthy business climate in the minority community
positively impacts the economy in our community. An increase in jobs
and the tax base reduces the need for social service programs and
taxes. The increase in the purchasing power of minorities helps
stimulate the economy.
Community
Development and Support...The
development and expansion of the minority business community fosters
support for the free enterprise system and demonstrates equal
opportunity based on personal initiative. Additionally, the
opportunity for minority ownership of business and increased
minority employment will improve the income and standard of living
in the minority community, contributing to the standard of living
for all Americans.
Beneficial
to the Nation...There
are in excess of 39 Minority Business Councils nationwide. The
combined activities of this infrastructure have resulted in billions
of dollars flowing into the minority community annually which
strengthens the economy as a whole.
